Software Engineer Intern
You start with a recruiter call, then a hiring manager chat where we'll go over your resume, talk about projects you've worked on, how you approach problems, and ask some basic SDE questions covering fundamentals, coding, and system understanding.
- Can you tell me about your experience?
- Have you ever encountered a difficult situation, and if so, how did you handle it?
Finance and Accounting
It was a long process. First, there was a screen, then I spoke with the hiring manager. After that, I had an interview with an operations Director who was not very competent. There was also a character AI test, but I never received a copy of the assessment like I was promised. The whole interview process felt inefficient and didn't really show off what I could do. They also seemed to be trying to find the cheapest option based on salary requests.
- What are some common questions found on the internet for this type of role?
Technical Product Operations Specialist
Recruiter reached out, thought I'd be a great fit. Set up a phone screen via calendar link. Then they contacted me again asking to interview, even though the phone screen was already scheduled. The call went well, the position is extremely fitting. I heard them click off after I talked about my background, felt like they weren't listening. This was confirmed when they emailed a 3rd time to schedule the phone screen we just finished. Please have your HR actually care and pay attention, stop trying to hit an email quota. You're missing out on quality fitting candidates.
- Can you describe your professional background?
Human Resources Generalist
About a week after applying, I got an email asking about my availability for a phone interview. The phone interview went okay, and I moved on to the second interview, which happened about a week later. They said the next step was to come in for an onsite interview. I didn't hear back about a date, so I followed up the week after that. It took a bit, but they finally got in touch to say they'd chosen another candidate. Their rejection email was nice, and I appreciated getting an update.
