Behavioral Technical

One of the worst interviews I've ever had. I found that the interviewer's position was vaguely described as 'Business Associate' and there were many online accusations of him 'stealing money.' The interview itself was terrible. He was 10 minutes late and immediately asked about weaknesses on my resume, specifically a six-month travel gap in my seven-year career. It got worse from there. It was a degrading interview, and I now understand the company's reputation for having mean people. Don't waste your time.

So first there was this online statistical assessment. It covered basic statistics, like compound interest, probability, and there was this potentially tricky coin question. I passed that. Then, I had to set up a phone interview online. The phone interview was the only part I didn't like, it felt really impersonal and the questions came at me super fast. It seemed like the interviewer just wanted to get it over with, giving me the feeling that they'd already decided about my application. Honestly, they should rethink their process because it's not fair to anyone involved.

Technical Coding Presentation

I had an initial phone chat, then they sent me a case study to do a report on using data they provided. The questions were okay, but didn't seem related to actual data science work. They liked my report and I got invited for an in-person interview a few hours after sending it. The face-to-face interviews were a mess. They kept saying I'd meet specific people but then someone else would show up. After the first of two interviews (I was told there would be three), the interviewer just left for a meeting and I waited around for 15 minutes before having to go find someone for the next part. I kept asking how the role was data science related, but they were super vague and eventually admitted it wasn't really a data scientist job. I was supposed to discuss my report but didn't get any questions about it. They never got in touch after that, and I never got a formal rejection.
