Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Viagogo.
Business Analyst
In total there were seven interviews. It started with an initial HR screening, then there was an A/B test on their app where I had to modify the initial page. After that, I had a case interview with a team member and then four more interviews with key members, which were mainly for background check and to see if I was a cultural fit.
- An easy binomial logic question was asked in the first interview. A business case related to A/B testing was also presented.
Business Analyst
The interview process was long and tedious. I had two short introductory phone interviews, followed by three in-person interviews. Each of these in-person interviews lasted almost 3 hours and was presented as the final-round interview. The organization was shambolic; it felt like every email required at least two follow-up emails from my end.
- What exactly are sellers paying for, and what are buyers paying for, when they purchase our service?
- What are the reasons behind viagogo's success?
- Why is it that we can keep charging such high margins?
Business Analyst
So after the recruiter call for the Business Analyst - Customer Operations role, I was sent a product-based case study. Once I finished that up, I had an onsite interview in Limerick which lasted about an hour with the head of customer operations. He presented me with a real-time scenario and I had to analyze it and make predictions, asking him questions to gather the needed data.
- Can you analyze and predict outcomes for a real-time scenario without having access to a dataset?
