ECommerce Specialist
I had two rounds of interviews. The first was with the HR manager. It was short and simple, mostly asking about behavioral traits and cultural fit. The HR manager also went over job duties and expectations, and explained the benefits. I found out about the next round, the panel interview, that same day, and it was scheduled for the next week. The panel interview lasted about an hour, and they asked me a lot of technical questions about my skills and experience. I learned more about the role's specifics during the interview, which I found exciting, but I didn't get an offer. I heard back about the final decision about 10 days after the panel interview.
- What aspects of work culture do you value most?
Logistics Specialist
The first round was a basic screening with the recruiter, who gave a general overview of the job and asked some introductory questions. Then, I had a 1-hour Zoom call with the department supervisor. This interview included casual get-to-know-you questions as well as more formal situational ones, and they also provided more details about the role. I thought it was quite challenging, but pretty standard. I was expecting to hear back about the next steps (a panel interview) by the end of that week or the start of the next. When I didn't hear anything by Friday, I emailed the recruiter on Monday morning to ask about decisions for the next round. I didn't get a response until Thursday morning, when I received a generic email from corporate thanking me for my interest. Given the time I spent and the difficulty of the second interview, I felt a more personal response would have been appropriate.
- What are you hoping to find in your next position?
Pet Owner Care Representative
This is a call center job. The only bad thing about the interview process was the first phone call. I applied for the job. Then, one day at 10 AM, I get a surprise call from HR asking if I could answer a few questions. I said yes, thinking it was just for basic contact info, scheduling, or resume stuff. But then she started asking what makes me a good fit for the job. I had just graduated and applied to 15 jobs, so it was hard to remember the job details to answer well, and I realized it was basically an interview. After an in-person interview that asked a lot of the same questions from the phone call, I got the job, so I guess I didn't do too bad on the phone, but I think it's unprofessional. I've never had that happen with other jobs I've applied to, and I think it would be better to at least schedule the phone interview and let candidates know beforehand that it will include interview questions.
- Why are you a suitable candidate for this role?
- In your opinion, is the customer always correct?
- Tell me about yourself.
Data Analyst
The whole thing took about two weeks. First, I had a call with a recruiter who was nice and professional. Then, I interviewed with three people from the team. It was kinda frustrating though because the job description and what the recruiter told me didn't match what they talked about and asked in the interview. I mentioned this afterwards, saying it affected my answers, but they ghosted me and I never heard back. So, the recruiter was nice, but the company itself wasn't very professional or organized. It would have been nice to get an update after talking to them twice.
