First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vestel.
Software Engineer
So I applied for a job at Vestel and went through all the interviews and exams. Everything seemed fine, but then they rejected me because I had received a scholarship during my bachelor's degree. It makes no sense, I've looked into all the laws for foreigners, even contacted the ministry, and they said my scholarship status is fine and I can get a work permit. Plus, I checked all the scholarship requirements and there's nothing saying I can't work in Turkey. I asked them for the specific reason, but they just stopped replying.
- Were you awarded a scholarship?
- If you received a scholarship, you are ineligible for employment here.
Senior Software Engineer
So the process started with an English Test, then an IQ Test, and a personality inventory quiz. After that, there was a paper coding exam. Then I had face to face interviews with my first line manager, the group manager, and the human resources person. Finally, a background check.
- English Test is intermediate level multichoice questions.
- IQ Test was given.
- A personality inventory quiz was administered.
Software Engineer
The hiring process started with an HR interview, followed by a technical interview that included an OOP quiz on paper. Then there was a manager interview and an English exam, which was the most difficult part. The whole process took about a week, so you need to be patient.
