First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vestel.
Android Developer
I interviewed at Vestel for an Android Developer role. The process began with a phone screening, then Technical Round 1, and next Technical Round 2 with the team based in Turkey. Things seemed to go well, and I was told they'd let me know soon. However, it's now been over 4 weeks, and HR has completely stopped responding to my emails or follow-ups. No update, no closure — just ghosted after multiple rounds. Very disappointing experience, especially after putting in time and effort through several stages. Advice to Management: At least inform candidates about the outcome. Ignoring emails after final rounds creates a poor impression of the company’s professionalism.
- Could you describe the most challenging task you've ever undertaken?
Marketing Assistant
Applied online and the whole thing took about 1.5-2 months. HR was super responsive throughout. I first had an interview with the managers, and then this last one with the executive of the department. It wasn't a super tough interview overall.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you go over your resume with me?
Business Development
Before the real interview, we had a phone chat first. It was to check if I was still interested and to clear up stuff on my resume. It was a way for them and me to see if we wanted to move forward. It saves time, you know, by cutting out people who aren't a good fit. The actual interview was kinda short, only 20 minutes.
- Tell me about a time you cleaned and prepped a big dataset for analysis, including the tools and challenges.
- Can you share an instance where you presented complicated data findings to people who aren't technical, and how you made sure they understood it and its business impact?
Software Engineer
You usually start by submitting your resume online. Then, the first interview, which might be over the phone or video, is typically with a recruiter or HR person. They might ask about your background, skills, and why you're interested. After that, depending on the job, there might be more interviews to check your skills and expertise. These could be with subject matter experts, team leaders, or future colleagues to see if you can do the job tasks. For tech jobs, you might have coding tests, case studies, or simulations.
- Tell me about three things that didn't go well.
