First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vestas Wind Systems.
Site Manager
The interview process was pretty standard. Started with a phone screen, then a virtual interview with the district manager, followed by another interview with a different site manager. I went through the whole thing and they kept saying I was a great fit. Then, after the final interview, they totally ghosted me. Real cool.
- Can you share an instance where you had to manage an employee who was difficult to work with?
Manager
The interview process involved a recruiter interview, a hiring manager interview, a personality test, and an HR interview. All four steps are followed regardless of the region. The process also included questions about difficult situations faced and how they were managed, reasons for leaving the current company, interest in working for this company, greatest strengths and weaknesses, daily work motivations, goals, times of job satisfaction, and hobbies outside of work.
- Tell me about a challenging situation you encountered and how you handled it.
- Could you explain your reasons for departing from your present employer?
- What makes you interested in joining our organization?
Management Assistant
Had an initial phone chat that went well, so I got invited for an in-person interview at the office. Met with the VP of HR and someone who's currently a Management Assistant. They asked a lot of questions focused on analytics and really wanted to make sure I understood that this is a management training role, not just an administrative assistant job.
- Tell me about a time you had to use your analytical skills.
- What makes you want to apply for this specific job?
