The interview process felt structured yet also conversational. It started with a recruiter screen to chat about my background, career goals, and why I was interested in Verve Group. After that, I had conversations with some team members. These talks were thoughtful, looking at both cultural fit and technical skills. Each part felt like a team effort, and I had plenty of time to ask questions and learn more about the company’s worldwide setup, its adtech products, and the leadership style. I needed to prepare by knowing about programmatic advertising and having examples of working with different teams, but it was a good way to understand how Verve works as a global company.

Behavioral Technical

I applied online and the recruiter reached out to set up the interview rounds. They initially mentioned an in-person interview in Bangalore, but since I wasn't there, they later agreed to do it virtually. The first round, which was supposed to be an hour, wrapped up in just 30 minutes. It felt more like a chat to see if I was a good fit for what they were looking for skill-wise. Because it was so short, I guess I wasn't what they needed, and I got rejected the next day.

The interview process was smooth and well-structured, with four rounds. It started with an HR screening to discuss my background, career goals, and interest in Verve. The HR rep was friendly, explained the role and company culture, and answered my questions. Next, I met with the VP for a technical-managerial round, focusing on my technical skills and how they match the team's objectives. The questions were insightful, emphasizing problem-solving and my approach to challenges. Then, a senior data engineer conducted a hands-on technical round with SQL, Python, and Big Data problem-solving. The interviewer was professional and encouraged me to explain my thought process. Finally, the hiring manager assessed both technical and behavioral aspects, looking at my team fit, project contribution, and alignment with Verve's vision.

So after they looked at my application, I had an HR interview where we talked about my background and the job. Then there was a pre-technical interview, it was more like talking about the team structure and some basic tech questions. After that, I did a technical interview, this one was way more in-depth about data warehousing, problem-solving, and some hands-on tech stuff. Finally, I had a chat with the Head of Corporate Reporting, who's also the hiring manager. It was a mix of technical and management talk.
