Behavioral Technical

I applied for an Engineering job in Westerville, OH. About a month later, an HR person called to talk about the job and my fit. Three days after that, the HR person called again to set up an initial meeting with a few team members. Two weeks after meeting the team, they called to schedule an in-person interview. They were really good at communicating at first, but then they kept postponing things, saying they were still interviewing everyone, even though they initially said I'd hear back in a day or two. After the last interview, there's been complete silence via messages, emails, and all other communication, and the job is still posted.

First, you gotta submit your application online, with your resume and cover letter. Then, they'll screen your resume to see if you're a good fit. If you are, an HR person or recruiter will reach out to set up a quick screening call to chat about your qualifications and interest. After that, you might get a technical assessment, which could be problem-solving or a coding test, depending on the role. Then, expect some technical interviews with the engineering team to check your skills and how you solve problems. They'll also likely have behavioral and competency interviews to see how you work with others and handle different situations, so have examples ready. If it's a more senior role, you might interview with a manager about leadership and strategy. They also care about cultural fit, so be ready to show you align with their values. Finally, they'll make a decision, and if you're in, you'll get a job offer.
