Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied for a specialized engineering position through their online form. About a week later, I got a call for a screening interview. I agreed, and the next day received an invite for a screening interview a week after that. The call itself, which started late, was a 30-minute chat where the recruiter hadn't looked at my resume and seemed unsure about the job I'd applied for. Despite this, I felt positive and was told I'd hear about technical and panel interviews later that week. I followed up right away but heard nothing for a week, so I followed up again, still no response. Two more weeks passed, and I got a generic rejection saying my 'experience and skills are a match for this role however we are not moving forward as we are looking for someone with experience in this role', which was confusing given my 10 years of experience in a similar role at a major company. I asked for clarification and feedback but have been ghosted since.

Behavioral Technical

The hiring process had 2 parts. First, a quick and easy online chat with HR. Second, a long and tough in-person interview with 3 people: the engineering manager, the general director, and the HR analyst. They were polite and asked all sorts of questions, and I also did a practical test. After that, the company never got back to me.

Three engineering managers met me on a concurrent Teams video call, which lasted about an hour. It was a very friendly and laid back atmosphere. They asked mostly standard questions you would expect out of any engineering interview, with no technical questions.
