The recruiter sets up the process. There were two rounds of interviews. The first round was on Zoom with one executive, and it lasted over an hour. The second round was on-site, with three separate 30-35 minute interviews. A tour of the company was included, and they reimburse for travel.

I got contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn and had a phone call. Then, I had a Zoom interview with someone from the team. After that, I went in for an on-site interview that lasted 3 hours with 5 people. During the interview, I was told "people who work here really feel like they have no purpose outside of their job here" and "even when people are on vacation they’re still working" so be warned that’s what’s expected of you there. I got a rejection email that said "we have decided not to proceed with your candidacy for a recruiting role at Verkada", even though I interviewed for an Executive Assistant role. Pretty professional considering how long they made me interview with them.

It started with a phone interview and then a super vague event planning project. I tried to get more info about the event's purpose, but the recruiter said they deliberately keep it unclear to see how candidates handle it. So, I did the project and gave a few different ideas to keep things flexible. I didn't get picked to move on, and the recruiter wouldn't give any feedback due to 'company policy.' Honestly, it feels like a red flag when people won't give feedback or be upfront about what they want, so I guess I dodged a bullet.
