the interview was pretty straightforward. It was mostly conducted over the phone. They went over the training program, discussed the events that happen about once a month, and explained the pay structure.

I applied and got a call the next day to set up an interview. I had the interview the day after that, but you might want to give it 2 days since they send you stuff to study for the call. They send you the company Credo and the product of the month to memorize its features and purposes. The phone interview is 45 minutes, so pick a good time. They asked me a question or two, then had me role-play selling the product to a techy customer and then to a non-techy customer. Make sure to try and close the sale after each role-play; they really look for that! Then we talked about the Credo, asking for my overall thoughts and what stood out. They also asked some STAR questions and verified my past employment dates. About a week later, I got a call to schedule an in-person interview at the store with the manager. This interview wasn't as scary as the phone call; it was pretty basic, with some repeated questions but mostly STAR questions. At the end, they asked if I had questions – definitely ask some to show you're interested! About another week later, HR called with the offer. Verizon has great benefits like dental, vision, health, vacation, personal, and PTO days. They require a drug test within two days and start your background check, which takes 7-10 days and is very thorough. Make sure your previous employment dates are accurate. I just got the call that my background check cleared and I start Monday! It's a long and stressful process, so don't quit your current job until you get the call clearing your background check.

First I was contacted by HR to talk about the job and set up a phone interview. The phone interview was about 40 minutes and they asked a bunch of questions mostly about my past sales experience. I was told it went well and I would get a schedule for testing. The next day I got 3 choices for testing dates/locations. Testing took about 2.5 hours and was pretty easy, with common sense questions, some math, and some mock call center scenarios. I found out immediately if I passed or failed, and I passed! Then came the waiting part for an interview. Since I was coming from out of state, I interviewed with the Director, Manager, and 2 Supervisors all on the same day. It was a panel interview and then a one-on-one with the hiring supervisor. The interviews went great. Then I got a call that Verizon wanted to hire me, but couldn't due to a hiring freeze. The real waiting started then. Months went by and they still couldn't hire me. Finally, 8 months later I got the call, but I had to decline because I had already accepted another job.
