First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Verimatrix.
Software Engineer
The whole thing took about a month. It started with a 45-minute chat with HR. Then I had to do a technical exercise, and after that, I had a 1-hour technical interview with the Principal Engineer.
- What factors in C++ decide if an object goes on the stack or the heap?
Senior Software Engineer
I interviewed with the VP of Tech and the CTO for the Sr. SWE position. After chatting with each for about 15 mins, they gave me a verbal offer that was the same as my current pay. It was super easy.
- Can you use OpenSSL and any random number generators?
Software Engineer
I went through three technical interviews with three different people and they were all very fair. The interviews covered typical programming, software design, and quality assurance topics. The questions were challenging enough to filter out less experienced candidates, but not so hard that they made me feel inadequate as an engineer.
- Describe how you would approach designing a database for a specific problem.
