I submitted my application online through Verengo's career site and got a call from a corporate recruiter the same day. They conducted a 25-minute interview with general questions like 'describe your current job duties' and 'what are some of your weaknesses/strengths'. The next day, I had an in-person interview with the HR Associate and the Director of HR, but separately. The HR Associate met me in a conference room first, and the interview felt more like a casual chat than a formal Q&A. She asked general questions about my skills and abilities. After about 30 minutes, I met with the HR Director to discuss my skills further. Two days after the interview, the Recruiter called me with a verbal offer. I got the official offer letter that night, and then my background check started.

Behavioral Presentation

I learned about Verengo from a former colleague who was really happy with the opportunity. I told him I was interested and sent my resume to the lead recruiter. She got back to me quickly and set up an interview. I was really impressed by how professional she was, and her questions were great and clearly based on my resume, not just generic ones. Then I spoke with a second recruiter who gave me a lot of good information about the job. Finally, I interviewed with the VP and was even more excited about the role. All my questions were answered, and I felt a connection with everyone I met. It was the best interview experience I've ever had!

Behavioral Technical Presentation

The HR person reached out to me first and asked some questions. Then I talked to the Regional Sales Manager. After that, they flew me to Southern California for interviews with the C-Levels. They even covered my flight and transport to Corporate. I really thought I was close to getting the job! But then things got really strange. It was the weirdest interview ever, and I've been in sales for 30 years!

Confirmed questions5 questions
  • The C-Level Executives asked me questions for a Director of Sales for Northern California, which wasn't the job I came down to interview for.
  • They had the wrong Job Req and didn't realize it until the very end.
  • They gave me $40 and sent me to the door to get a taxi to the airport.

I heard back from them about 3-4 days after I sent in my resume. They first did a quick phone chat, and then I went in for an in-person interview. It was at a Starbucks, but the interviewers were really professional and had some good visuals and info that cleared up a lot of my questions. I liked that they had both a recruiter and a salesperson there so I could ask about the day-to-day stuff. The interview itself was pretty quick and went well, my only hang-up was having to drive more than an hour to get there.

  • My previous experience as a canvasser.
  • My previous experience as a trainer.
