So I had 5 calls with Accion Labs. First the recruiter, then the manager for a personal fit check, then a technical interview for backend, then another technical interview for frontend, and finally the hiring manager. They told me I did great after the 4 interviews. But then the hiring manager said they actually needed a Full-stack Developer, even though I told them from the start I'm a Frontend Developer. It was a waste of my 5 hours, and they didn't even bother to call and apologize.

A recruiter reached out and scheduled the first couple interviews, which I aced. The first was a technical interview that involved pair programming on basic array manipulation. I felt good about it, thinking Veracode was a great next step. Then came the third round with one person who seemed to have already decided. Even so, I thought I did great. Apparently not, because when I asked the recruiter for feedback a week later, my message wouldn't send, as if I was blocked. No response from Veracode. It's odd that at a company like Veracode, one person can have so much influence in the third round.

Got a quick reply after I applied. First, I had a chat with the recruiter. Then, I talked to the hiring manager over the phone. The final round was an onsite meeting with three engineers and the hiring manager I spoke with earlier. The whole process was pretty straightforward, and the technical questions were fair, not too hard or too easy, just right to check my skills. They also focused a bit on Application Security.
