Customer Success Manager
The interview process began with a 30-minute call with HR, and then a week later I had a 45-minute interview with the hiring manager. I got the rejection two weeks after that. I don't remember much about the HR person, but the hiring manager was nice and seemed to have a lot of experience in customer success.
- What does customer success mean to you?
Customer Success Manager
Got referred by someone who works there. First interview was alright, just basic stuff to see if I could do the job. Second interview was over Teams. The interviewer was really nice, said she liked my background and how I answered her questions. She even mentioned wanting a role with bigger contracts because she thought I could handle it. Then, nothing. No reply at all, which was really unprofessional. It's a CSM job, not saving the world. Any kind of response, even a rejection, would've been better. It's unprofessional. Must be nice to be in that position and just ignore people. Seems common now, people avoiding any kind of confrontation, even via email. And to treat a referral like that? For a CSM role that's pretty simple? A shame.
- What's your approach to escalating issues to your manager?
Customer Success Manager
I went through 4 rounds of interviews with people from Customer Success, managers, and team members. It was all really casual and everyone was nice. All the interviews were virtual, and the recruiter set them up pretty close together. They got back to me in a pretty good amount of time.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
