First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Veoneer.
Senior Software Engineer
Veoneer reached out, and I was invited for an in-person interview in Bangalore, India. They wouldn't budge on rescheduling, insisting I come in person. It turns out there were 50 of us vying for only 4-5 positions. After making me wait 3 hours, they conducted the interview. I passed all the technical and managerial rounds, and even had a discussion with HR the same day. Unfortunately, after all that, the company just ghosted me without any explanation, not even to say they weren't moving forward. Just a heads-up to be careful when interviewing with them.
No confirmed questions were included in this interview report.
Software Engineer
They had a technical round where I had to explain my project, followed by a final behavior round. For the university project explanation, I had to use the STAR format and talk about the positive outcome. I also had to speak about new technology. Overall, it was an easy interview process to clear the rounds.
- Technical round - explaining the project then final behavior round University project explain in the STAR format saying about the positive outcome. Speak about new technology as well.
Applications Engineer

HR Development Manager
First, there was a 1.5-hour meeting with an HR manager to go over the complex transformation situation and spell out the job duties. Then, a 1-hour meeting with the HR Director; we had good talks, and they presented the context and high expectations for the role again. After that, radio silence, no response at all even when I followed up. Getting some feedback (any feedback) helps candidates improve their search or interviews. Managerial courage also means this. Improving the candidate experience makes your employer brand more appealing!
- Can you introduce yourself, please?
- What are your key strengths?
- What do you consider your weaknesses?
