Community Manager
I got an email to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. When the scheduled time came, I logged on but no one showed up for 5 minutes. I texted the number they contacted me from to check if the time was still good, but no answer. I emailed the hiring manager later that day and they replied the next day saying they missed it because of a timezone mix-up, even though the invite they sent me had the timezone set. I gave them more times I could chat, but heard nothing back. I guess they just went with someone else and kept me hanging.

Community Manager
The interview process started with a Skype call, which was friendly and informative. Immediately after, a second interview was scheduled at a convenient location. This second meeting was quite extensive and included a quick assessment test. We were asked common interview questions initially, and then the questions became more intense as the conversation went on. A third interview was scheduled a few days later to meet my direct manager, and then an offer was extended. After going through the entire process and getting a feel for Venterra's culture, the interview approach and the types of questions asked make a lot of sense. Venterra puts a huge amount of effort into employee development, and ensuring applicants align with the company's standards is key to a good employee-organization fit.
- What childhood values did you learn and from whom?
Community Manager
My interview was super thorough, they didn't miss a thing and it lasted two hours. The community I interviewed with had a Senior Community Manager doing the interview, so she was really diligent and took her time to get to know who she was possibly hiring. Venterra interviews are not cookie-cutter, they really want to get to know you as a person, how you interact with others, and your overall personality. It felt like a comfortable, casual conversation, like girl talk. The two hours flew by, which was great!
- What values were taught to you by whom during your childhood?
