Software Engineer
I was contacted by an internal recruiter, then had a phone interview. After that, I was asked to develop a demo project, which in my case was an mvc task list. The demo project is, after all, a time-consuming task, and I usually won't do it unless I really like the company. Finally, I was invited for an onsite interview, and I was given a tour of the company. The recruiter constantly reassured me that the interview went very well. One week after, I got a short email saying again that everything went very well and they were just interviewing other candidates. Then they went silent. Given the time-consuming interview process, I think that's unprofessional.
- Regarding dependency injection, have you had prior experience working with it?
- For the demo project, which is a task list application, could you please develop it based on these technical requirements?
- Users should be able to enter a new, active task.
Software Engineer
It was a friendly process, a bit slow, but we made sure we understood each other and found a good fit. We had an HR phone screen, then a technical phone screen, followed by an in-person interview with the Director of HR and Director of Engineering, and then a sample project with a review.
- What skills are you interested in learning or improving?
Software Engineer
The interview process began with a phone call from HR. After that, I was given a demo project to complete. Finally, there were three separate onsite interviews. I was asked some basic technical questions, but they weren't overly difficult. The interviews felt very conversational, mostly checking if my personality would fit with the company. HR was great and made me feel comfortable throughout. They were quick to respond to any questions I had.
- What aspects of Android/Software Development do you find most enjoyable?
