I had an initial interview with a manager, then I came back for two more days of "working interviews." Basically, I just shadowed current employees. It was my first time experiencing a "working" interview, and I'm from the Midwest. I guess it was their way to see my personality and if I'd fit in with the team. The questions asked were a bit odd for a receptionist/front desk job. I thought they should have focused more on how I handle stress, multitask, and get things done.

I got an email to set up a phone interview. The recruiter called exactly on time. He asked about my familiarity with the location and my comfort level with the commute. I mentioned I live nearby. He then disclosed the pay, around $11/hr, and asked for my reaction. I stated it was quite low, and he ended the call by wishing me luck. That was it. Their system seems very straightforward, so don't anticipate negotiating a higher salary.

I applied online and then got a call a few days later to come in for an interview. It was a short interview with just a few questions and then they showed me around the place. They said they'd call me back to let me know if I got the job.

  • Have you worked with animals before?
