Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at VCA.
Senior Accountant
I interviewed for a senior accountant position. There were two interviewers. I really liked the culture at VCA, they seem to be casual every day. The environment seems pretty laid back for a big company.
- General accounting questions were asked.
Revenue Accountant
Got the call from my recruiter and then headed into the office for the interview. I met with the Director, then the manager, and then the supervisor, each for about 15 minutes. They asked about my Excel efficiency. After those chats, they gave me an accounting test and an Excel test. It's okay if the Excel test isn't perfect, just don't lie about your skills if you're not great at it. The whole thing was pretty chill and easy.
- What are your expectations for this role?
Staff Accountant
I only spoke with the hiring manager for this role. It wasn't a tough interview at all, and since it's a staff-level position, there weren't any technical questions. They got back to me super quickly, within two days.
- Where do you see yourself in five years?
