First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vasu Agency.
Customer Service Associate
It started with a presentation, which was a webinar for about 30-45 minutes, mainly explaining the company's business model and how they focus on customer service. After the presentation, there was a short survey that's like a regular application. Once you finish the survey, they'll call you for an interview. The interview itself was relaxed and easygoing, they just wanted you to be yourself.
- Regarding this career, what aspect caught your attention the most?
Customer Service Representative
I found an ad on CL Houston for a Customer Service Rep with a 50k annual salary, which was not true. The receptionist contacted me and asked me to come in. She was vague about the company and I had to ask her to repeat the name. I researched them and found negative things about their process but went anyway because of the salary mentioned in the ad. When I arrived, about 15 people were filling out applications. We were all called into a big conference room, and about 40 of us ended up there. Four managers introduced themselves and their roles. One manager told his life story, unrelated to the interview. Another talked about the company and what they do. Someone else discussed their marketing. Then, they talked about pay, which isn't a salary. They pay you per policy weekly, keep 25% for 6 months, then give it back. At this point, I started to leave, and others did too. It felt like a waste of time, not a real interview but a sales conference.
- Who wants to make six figures a year?
Customer Service Representative
It was a three step process, meeting three different people. First was a Zoom class that gave an overview of what the company does and your role as a customer service representative, which is basically selling insurance policies.
- Are you willing to pay for an insurance class and exam?
