First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vantagepoint ai.
Software Sales Executive
The interview process was pretty disappointing. It started with a brief 5-minute phone call asking about me and why I'd be a good fit. Then, they sent a video for me to prepare for a role-play where I had to sell their software. It was a bit odd to do this without getting a chance to ask questions or learn about the company first. After the role-play, they said I'd hear back soon, but I just got a rejection email with no explanation. This was frustrating because I spent time understanding the product without any training and felt I did well in the role-play. I feel like the least they could do is give some feedback on why it didn't work out or what they're looking for, something to make it a better experience rather than a one-sided interview. I was really looking forward to this opportunity and believe it's a great company, so it's a shame it didn't work out for me. Good luck to others!
- What makes you a good candidate for VantagePoint?
Sales Executive
The first interview was a quick call to confirm your experience. The second was a roleplay where they threw every objection at you, like being busy, needing to check with a spouse, price concerns, and product functionality doubts. I didn't close and moved to the third interview. That one was with Lane, who was short on time and rushed me. He asked about my past experiences, dismissing most of my answers. He then asked what I liked about the roleplay and my performance. He didn't talk about salary or the role itself and ended the call abruptly. My advice: don't stress too much preparing for these interviews; just do your best and move on, as the company isn't worth the anxiety.
- What motivated your application to vantagepoint?
Digital Marketing Specialist
I had two interviews for a marketing specialist role at Vantagepoint software. The first one was with the President where we talked about my experience, the company's business, the job details, and what they specifically do. He asked a lot about me, my preferences, and my abilities, showing he wanted to ensure a good fit. He was also very open to my questions. This initial meeting felt like a get-to-know-you session focused on my skills. At the end, he gave me an assignment: create a small promotional campaign and landing page for their software based on their website. I clarified the assignment with him and set up a second interview to present my campaign to him and several managers. He mentioned that developing such campaigns would be a regular part of the job. The assignment took a few hours and involved thinking about how to create an effective promotion. Crafting a strong headline was the most challenging part. In the second interview, I presented my campaign, headline, landing page, and copy to the managers. We spent about 45 minutes discussing it. They were professional and friendly, with some lightheartedness making the environment relaxed. Since I wasn't very familiar with their product, they weren't looking for a perfect final version but rather assessing my responsiveness to feedback and questions. They wanted to see how I'd adapt the promotion based on new factors or insights. We discussed target audience, messaging, design elements, etc. I enjoyed the meeting, felt like I was talking with potential colleagues, and found the company and its AI software for investors and traders to be very interesting.

Sales Representative
The first step was a mock call with the recruiter, Jennifer, where I had about 10 minutes to talk about Vantagepoint and why. After that, I had an interview scheduled with Lane, the president. He came in and mentioned he only had about 10 minutes of our 30 minutes. He asked a couple of resume questions, then I asked him some questions. You could tell he wasn't having a good day, and that impacted the decision. It was a bad process and not a real AI company. I'm upset because I really wanted the job and need it. Be careful out there!
