Since this was an internal promotion, I went through two interviews. The first one was with a manager from another store in our district, which was a preliminary step before the interview with our district manager. After that was approved, the interview with the district manager was scheduled and happened a few days later. The whole process took a little less than a month. The interview itself was about 20-30 minutes and was just with our district manager, but it ran a bit longer because of some personal questions.

Group Case Behavioral Technical Other

They reached out a few weeks after I applied, inviting me to a first group interview. The initial stage involved a group of 5 of us introducing ourselves for ice-breaking, with HR and two managers assessing us. Following that, we were given a case study requiring a decision and justification, involving compromise with other group members. Next was a 1-on-1 role-play to evaluate how I'd handle issues as a supervisor. A week later, I had a second 1-on-1 interview with the general manager, a standard interview covering self-introduction, past work experience, and job responsibilities. They mentioned they'd be in touch within a week as they were hiring multiple supervisors and needed to finalize placements. However, I didn't hear back. I tried contacting HR via email, office phone, and even text message to inquire about the status, but HR seemed to have gone incommunicado. A week after my attempts, HR replied to my text, promising a call that afternoon, but then disappeared again, making things quite awkward.
