Vanguard uses this tool called "Ava" to communicate and schedule interviews, which mostly works but has some issues. The internal recruiters and interviewers were great to talk to. They were knowledgeable and honest about the jobs and what they expected. It's hard to get in because they promote a lot internally, and you also have to be a culture fit for some roles.

The interviewer rescheduled the first meeting and was late for the next phone screen. It was a rote interview where questions focused on how my background fit the job description, probing for weak spots. The interviewer seemed to be using a form, looking for the best paper match.

The interview process started with a half-hour phone interview that focused mainly on behavioral questions. After that, I was invited for a 1:1 interview. A week later, I had a series of three interviews, each lasting three hours. The first two interviews were with two interviewers each, and the last one was with a single interviewer. The interviewers were all very friendly, and overall, I felt it was a positive experience. About a week and a half after the final interview, I was contacted with the results.
