It was a virtual interview on Indeed, like a speed dating event. This job posting was a bait and switch; they advertised a base salary of 70K to 75K, but it was actually 40K base with commissions. Commissions from one sale would be paid out monthly over 12 months. The interviewer was 18 minutes late. It was a total waste of time and the job posting was inaccurate.

Confirmed questions1 question
  • The interviewer did all the talking, mainly trying to convince me to take a sales position that paid much less than the advertised salary. I was clearly overqualified for this role, as the pay is typical for an entry-level salesperson.

I was contacted on LinkedIn by a recruiter who was very professional. After that, I talked with a few company leaders and also visited their main office. It was a comprehensive process, and I ended up getting hired.

Behavioral Other

I went to an interview on a Saturday morning at 9am at Colectivo. I talked with Kevin Ford for a while and the interview went great. He said he was impressed and the next step was to take a personality test. He emailed me the test and I took it. About one week after I submitted the test I finally heard back. Kevin asked me to come into the office. I got to the office and he basically sat me down and told me that I failed the personality test. He took out the results and said that the test showed that I was too nice and may not be able to take criticism. I told him that I disagreed, but was completely dumbfounded that he would make me drive 35 minutes to meet with him so that he could turn me down. He seemed conflicted, but said that the personality test is never wrong. It was very weird and I felt that it was unprofessional to have a candidate waste their time as he did. A call would have been just fine.
