Technical Case

Standard process: HM Interview, Take Home Assessment, Review of Assessment if you pass, and then final panel interview. I unfortunately did not make it to the final round interview, but the assessment is extremely tedious - they said it should take 2-4 hours but in reality it takes 10 hours to finish if you want to pass. Furthermore, the review itself seemed like it went well, but the interviewer, a FDA II on the team, did not speak english well and asked half broken questions, which made it difficult to understand what he was saying. I had to ask for a repeat for multiple questions and this might have dinged me. The questions were fair however once I understood what he was saying. Also the recruiter/coordinator are both EXTREMELY slow at responding while you're in process, and once you're rejected they don't even bother responding. They provided zero feedback post-interview, despite knowing they both read emails -- you just get the standard rejection.

Technical Coding System Design

The interview process included an initial phone screen, followed by two rounds of technical interviews. The first technical interview involved programming fintech systems in Python on an online platform, requiring the translation of mathematical equations into code and the development of an evaluation system. The second technical interview was a LeetCode-style problem, ranging from medium to hard difficulty. Following these, there was a potential discussion with the co-founder.

a recruiter reached out to me about a job application. He asked me some basic questions about my experience and mentioned that he was excited about my résumé and the opportunity for me to join the team. He explained the job details and informed me that he would send my information to the higher manager, adding that I would receive feedback about the interview. Even if it didn’t work out this time, he expressed his willingness to find me a position within the company. I spoke with the higher manager, and the questions were quite easy. The manager complimented my performance, which I took as a good sign. I confirmed that I had the required skills and experience, and the manager advised me to follow up the following week. I did follow up the next week, but unfortunately, there was no response from the recruiter. I waited another week before reaching out again, but still received no reply. It’s very disappointing to prepare for an interview, feel excited about the opportunity, and then not hear back from them.

Behavioral Technical

The recruiter reached out, asking some basic stuff about what I can do and my background. They went over the process and seemed really keen on me joining, even if it wasn't for that exact role. They promised to give me feedback either way. Then, I moved on to the next interviews, which were pretty straightforward and I nailed them. During one chat, I asked what I thought my biggest hurdle would be, and they said I've got everything it takes to crush it. I was told I'd hear back the next week. When that week passed, I pinged the recruiter but got nothing. The week after, I followed up again for any interview feedback, but still, radio silence. Honestly, no idea why I got ghosted, felt pretty rubbish.
