I got a call to schedule an interview. It was very easy. I met with the manager and supervisors. They mostly asked behavioral questions. We talked about the hospital and how the role is growing. Afterwards, HR called to see if I wanted to accept the job. The whole thing took about 1-2 weeks.

You need to fill out an online application on MIHS.org and can track your status there. You'll get an automated confirmation, but no other feedback. Be sure to tailor your application to the specific job requirements, like mentioning years of telemetry experience in your responsibilities. Don't just use a generic resume. Customize your application for each role. The interview usually involves standard questions. I was surprised by a medication and telemetry test on my first day of orientation.

Confirmed questions4 questions
  • What is your understanding of teamwork?
  • Can you describe your strengths and weaknesses?
  • How are your medication administration skills?

Behavioral

It was a disconnected process. Someone called and left a message but didn't give their name. I called back, and they didn't get back to me for 3 weeks. The interview had two people, one on camera and one virtually with their camera off. The one with the camera off had a strange tone and didn't give feedback. The one on camera was nice and gave feedback, saying it was for fairness. The questions were behavioral, like 'what would you do' or 'tell me about a time'. As it went on, I realized I didn't want the job because the environment felt cold and sterile.

Confirmed questions2 questions
  • What would you do?
  • Tell me about a time you experienced something.
