So we started with some phone screens where they hit me with quick probability questions, then there was an in-person superday. That superday had written and online tests covering sequences and arithmetic. The very last part was a card game against other traders, kind of like poker but focused on pricing straddles and calculating the expected numerical value of card draws.

It started with a phone interview with a team member who asked about games involving optimal strategy and discussed the black-scholes model. The interviewer was pleasant, smart, and I learned a lot. Then I was flown to Chicago for the final round, which included mental math, sequencing, and logic/IQ tests, followed by talks with traders and the CEO. We then had dinner and I heard back the next day. The team has great camaraderie, is very flat, and everyone is eager to teach. It seemed like an amazing development opportunity; I chose to go into a different field but if I were to trade, this would have been my top choice.
