Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vail Systems.
Software Engineer
I had a phone call with HR first, and then there was one round that was a mix of behavioral and coding questions. We talked about company practices and benefits, and also did some coding and explained the time complexity of the code I wrote.
- How could your solution be improved for better efficiency?
- Could you explain the time complexity associated with your solution?
- What are your views on how the company operates?
Software Engineer
The onsite interview was pretty good, I had two technical interviews and a behavioral interview, each lasting 45 minutes. The interviewers were helpful. At the end of the first technical interview, there was an hour-long presentation about the company and the role.
- Questions about Binary Trees
Software Engineer
This was one of the worst interview experiences I've ever had. The recruiters seemed to have a poor understanding of the questions they were asking. Despite my strong qualifications for the role, my background wasn't really discussed. It would be better if the interviewers were more engaged. It was a pretty terrible experience, and I wouldn't recommend this company to friends.
- Can you explain how you would go about implementing a Google search?
