Software Engineer
The hiring process, generally, starts with you applying for the job(s) you want. HR then screens the applications and, depending on your top two job preferences, might invite you for an initial interview. If they like you, they'll say they'll connect you with the hiring manager, who will call you to set up an in-person, phone, or Skype interview. If you get a callback after that, you're hired! The whole thing can take up to two months from when you apply online.
- What is your greatest weakness?
Senior Software Developer
I was contacted by the recruiter for an initial phone chat that involved some technical questions. After that, I had an interview with the Hiring Manager, followed by a technical interview with the Hiring Manager and an Engineer where we did a timed coding exercise. The recruiter was really nice and got back to me quickly, and the whole interview process felt really solid and well-executed.
- Can you describe your past experience and projects?
- Could you complete a timed practical exercise to develop an API?
Software Developer
It was a standard first interview and a second technical interview. The second interview was supposed to have multiple interviewers but only one person who was new in her role showed up. We had a pleasant conversation about the difficulties of getting accurate GPS signals in remote areas.
- Could you tell me about your years of software development experience?
