The HR recruiter was nice and professional. I didn't like meeting the CMO, though. She showed up super late, kept cutting me off when I was talking, and asked weird questions out of nowhere to try and throw me off. She seemed really arrogant and rude, and honestly, it felt like a complete waste of my time. After that conversation, I lost all interest in working at Vail Resorts.

HR contacted me for an interview and conducted the first round. They were really impressed with my background and said they'd talk to the hiring manager. They promised feedback from him and an email synopsis of our call by Monday. But then, nothing. No email, no call back. It would have been better if they hadn't wasted my time with empty promises. Just be professional and give the feedback you said you would, or don't bother with interviews.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Applied online in early May, got contacted by a recruiting coordinator four days later. By the first week of June, I had a phone interview with a recruiter who advanced me. Three weeks later, I had phone interviews with the VP Marketing and VP Sales and Biz Dev, which both went well. Two weeks after that (mid/late July), I had a follow-up with the VP Marketing and an initial call with an HR Director. Didn't hear back until mid-August when they flew me out for a face-to-face interview in mid-September. That Friday was an all-day (8am-6pm) marathon, meeting about 15 people, with a follow-up interview on Saturday. Two weeks after that, they asked me back for another face-to-face, but it got delayed by six weeks (end of October) due to scheduling conflicts. This second visit was shorter, just meeting key people: CMO (hiring manager), COO, HR, and VP. It was intense but enjoyable; I liked everyone and had good chats about the business. It felt more like a discussion to show how my background fits business challenges than a drill. They eventually made an offer.
