The interview process started with a phone screen and then included one or more video interviews, which were pretty standard. I enjoyed meeting the people, they were all friendly and I'd consider applying again, however, the way they handle rejections is tough on candidates. You spend several hours preparing for and interviewing with potential future coworkers, only to receive an automated rejection (via text message) from "Olivia", their online careers chatbot. It would be great to get a more personal rejection from the recruiter or coordinator, especially when a candidate progresses far in the hiring process.

It was a multi-stage interview process with various HR leaders and clients. I started with the recruiter and then progressed to meet with direct leadership. It was a good experience overall; I liked meeting different leaders and clients.

I was really excited to interview with Vail but after this interview process, am very disappointed with the level of professionalism and mutual respect shown in the recruiting process. I was scheduled with a recruiter, who never showed up for my first initial screening. I followed up instantly, didnt hear anything. I followed up a few days later and was informed that there was an "emergency" and was asked to find another time. I scheduled a interview for the first available slot (a week later). The recruiter called 7 minutes after the scheduled time, and asked me many questions that were not 100% relevant for an initial phone screening. After learning why i wanted to work for vail and what my management style was, she said she would refer me to another recruiter for a second screening. I followed up the next day and a week later, I have yet to receive any email correspondence since the last verbal note that "they would like to move fast" on this position. I would understand if I am not the candidate they are looking for, but wish they wouldn't waste my time in the process and could communicate regularly and consistently.
