I missed a call from the recruiter, but I called her back within 5 mins. It took her 5 days to call me back. She scheduled an interview and said she'd email me the details, which she did. She requested another copy of my resume and cover letter to attach to the online application, and also asked me to bring another copy to the interview. Filling out the online application was super long and frustrating, taking over an hour even though most of the info was already on my resume. At the interview, she made me wait 25 minutes without any explanation or apology. After looking at my file, she asked for my ID, but said I was missing one form of identification that wasn't listed in the email. She suggested I "run" and get it, even though her office is 30 mins away! She then took me to a room for two software skills tests on MSWord and MSExcel. The versions she set me up with were newer than what I'm familiar with. She left and I couldn't find her or anyone at the reception desk. I had to finish the tests slowly and ended up failing some steps, which was very frustrating and made me look dishonest about my skills. I left a note but got no response. Be careful with software tests, ensure you know the exact versions you're familiar with and that they use those specific versions. My recruiter clearly didn't care about compatibility, which was really unfair.

I wish I hadn't sent my resume. I had a very quick <5 minute phone screen. The job seemed fake since it 'just filled' but they had many other similar openings. She wanted to do a video call to discuss more. Reluctantly, I agreed. In the video interview invite email, the interviewer (who was about 10+ years younger than me) actually reminded me: remember this is an interview and to dress professionally. I canceled right away.

I got contacted because of my resume I posted online and had a brief phone interview. Then, I came in for an interview as a potential consultant, and I got hired. The interview was more of a discussion than anything else, very chill and I felt good. I went back for a final interview the next day and got the job offer within the week.
