It's a lengthy but overall positive interview process. There are four interviews: one with a recruiter, then a regional manager, followed by a real estate manager, and finally the director. Everyone was very nice, though it was quite a bit.

I saw the posting and sent my resume, but after a week I reached out to a senior person on LinkedIn. My contact was receptive and set up a first interview. I was interviewed by three managers. Two of them were quite cold, making the phone and Skype interviews awkward. The role-play exercise was not a good starting point, especially since the recording system caused audio delays. I'm not a fan of this role-playing trend. In the Skype/second interview, a VP seemed difficult and cold, not taking a liking to me. The other interviewer was very pleasant. The question about my weakness came up, which I deflected, asking to address it later. They mentioned they hadn't seen my resume, only my cover letter. I had prepared a targeted resume, but they weren't interested in seeing it; they preferred my LinkedIn profile, which isn't specific to this industry. The role was for a new market that neither they nor I had experience in, and it's very different from their current markets. Their website's production quality needs improvement, with all vacation home photos lit similarly, almost like fluorescent lighting. I didn't get the job, but I was concerned about how the company was managing its rapid growth. I felt they were rigid in their business practices and didn't understand the local culture or brand for the new market. I suspected that while my sales performance would be evaluated, I'd have no say in the marketing strategy. It's an interesting company and concept, but I believe both employees and customers might face a challenging period.

The whole interview process was really disorganized. The recruiter no-showed twice, which was unprofessional. The directors who interviewed me also seemed inexperienced. Even though I got a verbal offer after the final round, they completely disappeared and never followed up.
