First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Vacasa.
General Manager
I applied online and they got back to me pretty fast. I did a mock sales call and the recruiter seemed keen, and I also answered some general interview questions. Then I was given two online tests about computer skills and management style. A few days later, they called me for a video interview. The day before that, I got an email saying the job was on hold, but then another email came saying that was a mistake and the interview was still happening. Finally, just 18 minutes before the interview was scheduled, I received an email canceling it because the position was put on hold again. I was told this is a new role, and it seems like they're still figuring out their direction and what this job would actually involve.
- What's your preferred management style?
- Tell me about your management style.
- How would you describe your approach to management?
General Manager
The interview process was very easy and provided a lot of company information. I wasn't initially prepared for an interview, but we were informed they would be coming in three years. Once I felt comfortable and at ease, the interview went very well. Kristen Taylor was amazing.
- Given the recent acquisition, how are you feeling?
General Manager
It was a really smooth and professional interview process. I had two phone/video interviews and got the job. Both interviews went great and I was sent to a week of training in Portland about a month after I was hired.
- How effectively can you perform under pressure?
