I had an in-person interview at about 10 am with 5 leaders: the night shift lead, day shift lead, evening lead, the operations manager, and maybe the operations co-manager. They asked about 15 questions and wrote down my answers. After the interview, they asked me to submit 3 references, one of which had to be a supervisor.

The interview process was long and not very transparent. It's not a negative thing, but it's government, so it's not like other jobs. They don't give you the exact salary offer until 30 days before you start, which can be an issue if you're trying to get a home loan.

I had a zoom interview with three people from the department. They took turns asking me questions that they had prepared beforehand. They spent a lot of time writing down my answers between questions, but it wasn't too stressful.

It was a virtual interview through Teams with a 5-person board. They all had their cameras off, but I had mine on. Each person asked 3-5 questions. They wanted to know about my experience with specific job duties, if I had received any awards, my familiarity with the VA, and general 'get to know you' type questions.
