& Process

I went through the interview process for the ServiceNow developer co-op. First, I was asked to introduce myself. Then, they inquired about the projects listed on my GitHub profile. I proceeded to demonstrate one of my projects. During the demonstration, I was questioned about the implementation details of certain features and also about how I would approach implementing new functionalities.

I was supposed to have an interview but it never happened. We scheduled it a week before, but after 48 minutes past the start time, I just gave up and went back to work. The assistant technical recruiter finally called me almost 50 minutes late and asked for a better number. It really says a lot about the company when the recruitment process is like this. No email or text to let me know about the delay or reschedule, and that reflects poorly on the company. It's a shame because I'm really qualified for the role, but that's life. I guess everything happens for a reason though.

So I got this call early in the morning from a recruiter, the guy had a really strong accent and talked super fast. I had to ask him to repeat stuff like multiple times and then tell him to slow down so I could actually get what he was saying. He was trying to get me to take a job that's like 4 hours away from my place. I said no thanks, but told him I'd be up for anything closer or remote. Then, I got the same exact email twice from different recruiters at VSoft about the same job. They asked me to send my resume even though they already got my info from my resume. Makes me think they're not really looking for good people, just bodies to fill spots and make money.

A recruiter initially reached out to me to discuss my background and provide details about the role, its requirements, and to gauge my interest. Following this initial contact, they scheduled a phone interview with my potential manager. This call lasted about an hour. After the phone interview, I was invited for an in-person meeting for a second interview. Both interviews felt quite relaxed and left a positive impression, though I don't recall the exact questions asked due to the time passed.
