First, there was an initial phone screen by HR with really basic questions that weren't directly related to the job duties. After that, there were 3 more rounds. These included interviews with a faculty member, the hiring manager, and upper-level administrative management. Two of the interviews were done via video.

The hiring manager reached out to me directly, and all the interviews were virtual. I had about 3 interviews in total. I spoke with someone in the same role, and then with the program director. I also had interviews with different departments, and they were all pretty much the same format.

Behavioral Technical

I applied late last year and got an interview invite about a month later. The in-person interview was about a week after the invite. Before the in-person, they asked for references and required them to complete an assessment within 24 hours, which I found unusual since I hadn't interviewed yet. I contacted the five requested references to complete the assessment quickly. The interview was scheduled with the hiring manager and the department administrator. I arrived early, but the manager was late and had to find a room, waiting to see if the administrator would join. My time with the manager was mostly good; they explained the duties and we discussed my experience and their expectations. They seemed interested but said I'd need to speak with the administrator. The administrator was absent for the first 45 minutes, and the manager had to check if they were coming. Once the administrator joined, things turned negative. They were cold from the start. When I began discussing my experience, the administrator interrupted rudely, telling me to hurry because they had other duties. This was strange given the limited interview slots. I continued, and the administrator interrupted again, stating they'd already chosen someone with 5+ years of experience for this entry-level role (which only required 1 year). This made no sense as other PC roles required more experience. After that, I disengaged. The administrator kept asking if I had questions, and I said no, which seemed to annoy them. The manager remained silent throughout. This experience made it easy to decide against working there, seeing how the administrator behaved and the manager's lack of intervention. The only positive was validated parking.
