First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at UST.
Junior Java Developer
The interview went pretty smooth. The interviewer was very kind. It started with a self-introduction and then moved on to projects. The interviewer asked specific details about the projects, like the MySQL version and Spring Boot version. Later, about 15 minutes of the interview were spent on behavioral questions. Then, a DSA question was asked, where I explained the approach very clearly and wrote down the problem, followed by some Java-based questions.
- Return the unique characters from a given sequence of characters.
Full Stack Java Developer
The interview process involved a technical round, followed by a client round, and concluded with an HR round. In the initial technical round, the interviewer asked about Java basics, exception handling, the Collection framework, and concepts related to Spring Boot Annotations and MySQL.
- Could you explain what a JIT Compiler is?
- What constitutes an unreachable code error?
- Can you describe the differences between HashMap and Concurrent HashMap?
Senior Java Developer
The interview process was alright. The first round was a phone call where they asked really tough questions, harder than in other interviews. I did great in it though. After passing, I was told to join a video call a week later for the final talk. But right before the call, I got an email saying the job is on hold. It's unbelievable. I don't get how this company has a 3.5 rating. The people working there are talented, sure, but the strict dress code and work culture are not good. Plus, if someone's technically that skilled, why would they join UST when there are better companies out there? Honestly, don't waste your time interviewing here.
- Tell me about core Java.
- What do you know about REST?
- Can you explain SOAP?
