First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at USHEALTH Group.
Sales Agent
It was a group zoom interview where someone told a long, irrelevant story, followed by a video submission. I didn't get to talk to anyone about the role or myself. It seemed like they preferred candidates who wouldn't ask questions.
- Are you licensed to sell insurance?
Insurance Broker
I went through an interesting interview process. It started with a group interview with five other people. After that, I had a one-on-one interview. Everyone I met was really nice and friendly. I don't have any background in sales or insurance.
- Can you tell us about your previous work experiences?
- How have you handled challenges in the past?
Sales Agent
I had a group interview with four people. The first part was an hour of them talking up the company. Then they mentioned the training, which didn't seem like much. A red flag for me was that they weren't cool with me giving two weeks notice to my old job of a year and a half. They said I could easily make 66k selling insurance just once a week. Then, in my 1:1 with the manager, he was nasty and wanted me to sell myself. He pointed to someone and said the job is hard and 7 out of 10 people fail. I wasn't going to leave my job for poor training and their rude attitude. I had a feeling I'd regret having him as a boss. I went to Quakertown, PA for it. Another red flag was they wanted me to pay $92 for certifications, showing they wouldn't invest in me. Plus, I was broke and that's a lot of money for people struggling. Overall, a negative experience; I ran from this company.
- So why are you good for this company?
- Sell yourself to the company.
Health Insurance Advisor
The first interview went really well. I had a lot of ideas and vision that I wanted to share. The interviewer, Jim (Shaunfield), listened carefully and then explained the company's concepts and vision. We both felt like it was a good match, and decided to move forward with a contract for me to be a captive, career agent. It's a wonderful and exciting opportunity with a company that's going to grow incredibly fast! I feel very lucky!
- Can you describe your experience in sales, marketing, and insurance?
- Could you tell me about your existing client base or book of business?
