Sales Representative
After I applied, someone got in touch within a week and we set up an interview. They sent a reminder for the in-person interview and told me what to expect. First, they gave a company presentation, which was great for getting basic questions answered right away. Then, I met with the leaders for the interview. The questions were fair, and the leaders were helpful and easy to talk to.
- Why do you want to work here?
- What's your 'why'?

So I went in for this interview and they put a bunch of us in one room to listen to this guy brag about how much money other people were making. He even showed actual pay stubs to prove it. While it was kinda cool to see the big numbers, it was a total bummer because they didn't explain anything else, just focused on the money. Then I found out it's a 1099 gig and you don't get paid at all for the first 4 weeks of full-time training. Like, you're supposed to be there 40 hours a week for a month with zero pay. On top of that, you won't see any money for the first two weeks you're actually on the job. So that's like 6 weeks with no income, and you're expected to put in 50-60 hours a week as a 1099 contractor.
- Are you okay with working for 4 weeks without any pay?
Sales Representative
It felt pretty sketchy. I got several emails from USHA saying I was a great fit. Then, we candidates were in a conference room, and the hiring guy gave a confusing presentation about what the company does. It's weird because they've won awards, but I've never heard of them. He showed posters of vacation spots and talked about paid vacations. If you get picked, they show you an empty office and say 'this could be yours.' Then, they want you to pay $100 for your insurance license. I think if a company wants you, they should pay for that. It just didn't feel right.
- Why do you feel you'd be a good fit for this job?
