Sales Development Representative
They are very unorganized, they scheduled me twice for the wrong interview. Would not work for anyone with such a horrible hiring process so I dropped out of the process. A recruiter recently messaged me on LinkedIn and I denied the oppoprtunity to start the interview process again. It was that unorganized. Would not recommend

- What are typical SDR questions?
Sales Development Representative
I've been in many job interviews and conducted them too. The second phone interview at UserZoom with a sales rep was the worst and most unprofessional. He made no effort to build rapport, which is crucial in sales. From the start, he seemed negative and contentious, eager to end the call. He barely looked at my resume and didn't remember my positive initial chat with the recruiter. After a quick look at my background, he only asked two questions. The first was about a Salesforce.com feature I don't know. I've used Salesforce for over 15 years, but no previous company used that specific feature. When I said I wasn't familiar, he just said 'uh-huh' and I felt like he was quickly disqualifying me, which is ridiculous for someone with my experience. Learning it would take maybe 15 minutes. His second question was about how I'd learn about UserZoom. I asked if there was training and if it was a trick question, as I had no clue what he was getting at. Then, surprisingly, he dourly stated, 'I don't think you'd be a good fit.' I was shocked and asked if he was serious, given my 15 years of success. He said nothing. I was upset, told him my thoughts, and ended the call. The 30-minute interview only lasted 8 minutes and was a total nightmare. In my view, he shouldn't be interviewing people. He certainly missed out on a good candidate like me. The interview was so unprofessional and he was so unpleasant I'm considering escalating this at UserZoom.
- How would you go about learning more about UserZoom?
Sales Development Representative
The interview process was quite laid-back and friendly. I actually picked up a good amount of info about the UX field during the chat, beyond what I had already looked into myself. The team members were super helpful too; I got to meet them and chat about their own experiences working with a SaaS UX Platform.
- Could you demonstrate a mock sales call?
- Let's talk about making a cold call.
