Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at US Navy.
Program Analyst
Applied online and heard back about an interview a few weeks later. The process was pretty simple. They gave me the interview questions just 10 minutes before the interview started and asked me to go through and answer each one.
- Tell me about your strengths and weaknesses.
Senior Analyst
When you're interviewing, make sure to always frame your work in terms of the required knowledge and skills for the job. Answer questions as if you're already in the role. The hiring manager is more interested in your understanding of how you'd perform and prioritize tasks in the position, rather than your grand vision for the future.
- Tell me about a time a task you worked on didn't go as planned and what you took away from the experience.
Management Analyst
The interview process involved behavioral questions focused on your personal experiences with management strategies and skills. You'll also be asked about how you'd handle real-life challenges and what you'd do to improve processes or procedures.
- How would you go about fixing a business inefficiency?
