First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at US Foods.
Carrier Sales Representative
A recruiter initially screened me. Then I interviewed with the Director over Microsoft Teams. After a good interview with the director, I was told I'd move on. I followed up with the recruiter a week later and she confirmed I was advancing. She asked for my availability, I responded, and then I never heard back. I think they ghosted me. It's my first time experiencing this, and I would have expected a company of this size to be more professional.

Sales
This interview process has taken five weeks so far and I'm on to what I believe is my last interview. The process has been smooth overall with a few minor communication bumps. I do recommend reaching out and reminding the recruiters you're still there and interested in a position with them; it helped me a bit!
- Can you share an instance where you had to step outside your comfort zone or existing knowledge base to assist a customer? Describe your actions and the outcome.
Sales Assistant
I was initially contacted by someone who didn't state their job title to schedule an interview. They called again the day before to reschedule. On the new date, the same person showed up and mentioned another person who was supposed to be involved in the decision making process couldn't make it. The interview itself was unprofessional and not held in a proper office. The interviewer, who still didn't introduce themselves, read questions from a list without really listening to my answers, despite me giving detailed responses about my skills and experience. They didn't explain the job well and kept asking if I had questions. They seemed disengaged and like the decision was already made, but the interview still lasted over an hour. I got a generic rejection email less than 18 hours later, even though they said I'd hear back at the end of the week. This happened before two other interviews scheduled for the next day. The whole experience was unprofessional and the interviewer seemed unprepared and ill-equipped.
