First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at US Foods.
District Manager
The interview process can vary depending on who you're speaking with, but typically there are at least two interviews. You'll be asked about your past experiences and how you've dealt with difficult situations. They use the STAR method.
- Describe how you achieve team buy-in during times of major change.
Territory Manager
The interview process was super simple and laid out. I chatted with the District Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager, and the VP of Local Sales. We kicked things off with some small talk, then dove into the interview questions. Really great guys!
- Could you share some background about yourself and what makes you interested in US Foods?
- Describe a situation where you had to lead a task or initiative that wasn't popular and explain your approach.
- Can you provide an example of how you've prepared for a client meeting?
Territory Manager
The interview was a 5 step process with the recruiter, District Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP Sale and Area President. The interview took a turn at the final stage when the AP sounded like he wasn't interested from the start. I felt odd from the start when he called me instead of a teams virtual interview and mentioned he couldn't get access. I tried my best to change the mood of the interview and was unsuccessful, I think his mind was made up before it started. Everyone else I interviewed with was great and l enjoyed our interview. I believe it's a great company and I wish I could've gotten a chance.
