Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at US Foods.
Recruiter
I spoke with the hiring manager for talent acquisition. It was a pretty chill conversation. She went over the job duties and what they were looking for. I asked about the tools recruiters use and what they expect from the role. We also talked about how I would fit into the team, which was a big part of it. Overall, it was a good chat, and the manager was upfront about the position.
- Why are you looking to leave your previous company?
Recruiter
The process started with a recruiter call, followed by a team interview and then a manager interview. The whole thing took a really long time in between, and I had to keep chasing the recruiter who actually quit right after I started.
- Can you list some methods for finding candidates?
- Could you tell me a bit about yourself?
Senior Recruiter
First I had a phone interview with the agency recruiter, and then the next step was a single interview with the department manager. It was around 45 minutes and was a pretty standard recruiter interview.
- How would you go about sourcing candidates?
