Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at US Defense Logistics Agency.
Contract Specialist
Be ready for a good number of questions about contracts and how to create them. They provide training for areas you might want to improve in. This interview wasn't difficult if you're prepared.
- Can you describe a previous role that involved similar responsibilities?
Contract Specialist
The interviewer was very nice. She explained the format of the interview. She talks and explains the position, she asks questions and then she will write down the responses. After that you have time to ask questions. Knowing that placed me at ease. It was a behavioral questions type interview. Based off the interview I feel that the people at this agency accept different types of people and a different way of thinking.
- What would you do type questions.
- Have you ever been in a particular situation and what did you do type questions.
Contract Specialist
It was a typical Behavior Based Interview with a panel of 6 people. I was asked five situationational questions and was expected to use the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). The interview lasted about 10-15 minutes, though they give you 30 minutes to answer, I don't think it'll take that long.
- Can you share an instance where you had to adapt to a change in circumstances?
- Tell me about a time you faced a challenge requiring prioritization or goal setting. How did you handle it, and what was the result?
- Describe a situation where you had to perform a quick analysis.
