First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Urbint.
Site Reliability Engineer
I went through 7 interviews with Urbint. They kept scheduling more interviews even after saying it was the last round. They told me I was going to get an offer, but then they took 6 days to say that a previous employer's field was a red flag, which is ridiculous. It was about 6-7 hours wasted. They also expected 24/7 on-call availability. This company seems pretty toxic, especially HR.
- Could you describe how you would establish and scale Terraform from scratch within a company?
Software Engineer
The whole process took about 1.5 weeks and involved interviewing with skilled people across the company. It started with an external interview, followed by an internal one, then a managerial round, an HR round, and finally a phone call to discuss salary.
- external interview. (coding (1 hard, 1 medium) , technical , oops, system design, API,LLD,GraphQL, what ever you can think of for SDE roels)
- Internal Interview (2 coding Questions(both medium) , Projects, Tech, SQL , NoSql, Optimize)
- Managerial Round( Understand work culture, and how you fit , what you can bring to the team)
Event Marketing Manager
The interview process at Urbint was fast, but thorough. A recruiter reached out to me on LinkedIn and we set up an initial phone screen. He emailed me back within 10 minutes of the call to say that the hiring manager wanted to move forward and we set up another phone interview for the following day. Before I even finished a thank you email to the hiring manager, the recruiter emailed me to say that they wanted to move forward with in-person interviews which we set up for the same week. The in-person interviews consisted of three 60-minute interviews which seemed long but I clicked with everyone who interviewed me and we actually went overtime. After the last interview, the recruiter came into the room and told me that everyone liked me and asked if I could stay for one more interview time the CEO, rather than having me come back for a final round. The interview with the CEO was quick, but extensive. After the interview, the recruiter told me that they were going to sync up and he would get back to me early the following week. On Monday of the next week, the recruiter called me to offer the job and sent a written agreement shortly after.
- What are your KPIs for measuring event success, and how do you track them?
Data Scientist
The recruiters were nice, but the interviewers came across as rude, unprofessional, or condescending. It was a red flag when interviewers yawned and spoke as if the candidate was boring. It seemed like they didn't enjoy interviewing, and the team appeared detached. If you're solely focused on getting a job and the money, this might be the place, but the people aren't great. There were many rounds, making it exhausting. One interviewer actually left the call and never returned.
- A take-home case study was given.
- A coding challenge was presented.
- Questions about ML were asked.
