They asked a lot of technical SQL questions, like how to do joins and transactions, and I had to give specific answers. They also tested my logical problem-solving skills by giving me different situations. For instance, they asked how I'd join two sample tables or what I'd do if I couldn't fix a programming bug.

The interview process involved questions related to the role. They tested my SQL knowledge by asking about common commands. I was asked about my desired salary in the first interview and my desired position from four choices: database manager, database analyzer, developer, or consultant. It was a nice and pleasant interview. I didn't need a lot of company background knowledge, even though the job description was vague. The next step is a phone call to schedule an on-site interview (in this case, in Detroit, MI) or to be notified if I'm not moving forward.

It was a moderate interview with general finance questions and questions on the automotive business. There were two rounds of telephonic interviews, followed by a final face-to-face interview at the onsite client location. An HR interview was also conducted by an onsite HR in a different region.
